The City of La Vergne, La Vergne, Tenn.
Served as publicity, promotion and economic development coordinator for all departments of the city. Dealt with the media in both incident-related situations and in pitching stories for publication; coordinated the annual City-sponsored festival, Old Timers’ Day; coordinated other fund-raising activities for the city, including bowling and golf tournaments; maintained web site from informational standpoint; wrote grant proposals for various city purposes; coordinated and created all advertising purchased by the city; coordinated the 2003 and 2006 Special Censuses for the City; created, wrote, edited and published both the employee and citizen's newsletters; worked closely with the City Administrator in creating marketing ideas/demographics publications for the City; worked with the Economic Development Committee as staff member and serving as liaison between retailers and the city.
